Humon Smelting Reports Sharp Rise in Lead Sales in 2014; Profit Up Slightly

SHANGHAI, Mar. 11 (SMM) – Shandong Humon Smelting Co.’s net profit grew 7.10% year-on-year to 250 million yuan ($40.51 million) in 2014, and the company’s refined lead sales posted a 119.30% spike from 2013, according to the company’s annual report.

Humon Smelting produced 83,700 tonnes of refined lead in 2014, soaring 109.55% year-on-year, and its lead sales also surged to 83,200 tonnes. However, the company also said its lead inventories doubled to 3,985.1 tonnes.

The company’s copper production dropped 11.90% in 2014 to 54,600 tonnes, while its gold and silver output was 37.07 tonnes and 375 tonnes, up 88.70% and 87.68%, respectively.
