The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels declined further on Thursday due to lower capesize rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels declined further on Thursday due to lower capesize rates.
 
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by 60 points to 1,019 points on Thursday.
 
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
