Main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange remains flat at 552 points

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities remained flat on Tuesday mainly due to lower panamax and supramax rates.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for ships carrying dry bulk commodities remained flat on Tuesday mainly due to lower panamax and supramax rates.

The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, remained flat at 551 points on Tuesday.

The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
