LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels advanced on Friday mainly due to higher activities across bigger vessel segments.
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, down by 4 points or 0.28 percent to 1,428 points on Friday.
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
