LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels rose on Tuesday mainly on sustained higher activity across bigger vessel segments.
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up by 110 points or 8.56 percent to 1,395 points on Tuesday.
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
