The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels advanced on Thursday on higher rates for capesize and panamax vessels.

LONDON (Scrap Register): The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange for bigger vessels advanced on Thursday on higher rates for capesize and panamax vessels.
 
The overall index, which factors in average daily earnings of capesize, panamax, supramax and handysize dry bulk transport vessels, up by 19 points or 1.67 percent to 1,155 points on Tuesday.
 
The main sea freight index at Baltic Exchange is the rate which tracks for ships carrying dry bulk commodities.
