SMM Nickel Market Daily Review (2014-10-9)

SMM #1 nickel prices were between RMB 113,500-113,800/mt, fluctuating in a RMB 300/mt range in the morning.

SHANGHAI, Oct. 10 (SMM) – SMM #1 nickel prices were between RMB 113,500-113,800/mt, fluctuating in a RMB 300/mt range in the morning. But trading was muted, with traded prices between RMB 113,500-113,900/mt. LME nickel prices extended gains in the afternoon, pushing up spot nickel prices in Shanghai. As trading improved, traded prices rose to RMB 113,800-114,300/mt. Jinchuan lowered nickel prices by RMB 1,000/mt to RMB 114,000/mt, with sales improving in the afternoon.
