Japanese H2 scrap average prices dropped during first week of August

The average price of Japanese H2 scrap continued to drop during the first week of August. This is the fifth straight week of losses for Japanese H2 scrap.

TOKYO (Scrap Monster): The average price of Japanese H2 scrap continued to drop during the first week of August. This is the fifth straight week of losses for Japanese H2 scrap.

The average price of Japan H2 scrap in Kanto, Central and Kansai region was ¥ 31,030/ton during the first week of August. The prices decreased by ¥ 111/ton from the previous week.
 
The average price of H2 scrap in Kanto region was ¥ 31,500/ton. The average price in Kanto region declined by ¥ 333/ton over the previous week.
 
The average H2 scrap price in Central region was ¥ 29,340/ton. The average prices remained flat with no change from the previous week’s price.
 
The H2 scrap average prices held steady in Kansai regions. The average price of H2 scrap in Kansai region during the first week of August was ¥ 29,340/ton, flat when compared with previous week prices.
 
Meanwhile, the purchasing prices of Japanese scrap by the South Korean Posco P&S increased by ¥500/ton during the week.
