SMM Nickel Market Daily Review (2014-8-1)

SMM #1 nickel prices were between RMB 128,700-129,200/mt.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 4 (SMM) – SMM #1 nickel prices were between RMB 128,700-129,200/mt. LME nickel prices fell by USD 500/mt, but spot nickel prices in Shanghai only dropped by RMB 1,350/mt, with trading improving in the morning and prices between RMB 128,800-129,400/mt. as a large number of traders left the market at the week’s end, transactions muted. End-user consumption was still soft.
