China Minmetals Rare Earth Expects 40-45 Mln Yuan Loss in H1 2014

China Minmetals Rare Earth Co. expected a 40-45-million-yuan loss in the first half of 2014 due to depressed prices and poor sales of rare earth elements (REE).

SHANGHAI, Jul. 15 (SMM) – China Minmetals Rare Earth Co. expected a 40-45-million-yuan ($6.48-7.29 million) loss in the first half of 2014 due to depressed prices and poor sales of rare earth elements (REE).

The company registered 10.17 million yuan in profit in the first half last year.
