The metal touched day’s high USD 22,625/mt and day’s low of USD 22,400/mt before closing at USD 22,500/mt, down USD 25/mt. Trading volumes gained 52 lots to 238 lots, with positions down 132 lots to 21,831 lots. Inventories grew 15 mt to 10,895 mt.
US initial jobless claims for last week will be closely watched today. LME tin should test support at USD 22,500/mt on Thursday. In Shanghai physical tin market, mainstream traded prices are expected to remain stable between RMB 138,000-140,000/mt.
