SHANGHAI, Jun. 18 (SMM) – LME tin opened at USD 22,500/mt on Tuesday. The metal touched day’s high USD 22,600/mt and day’s low of USD 22,453/mt before closing at USD 22,525/mt, up USD 6/mt. Trading volumes gained 3 lots to 186 lots, with positions down 426 lots to 21,963 lots. Inventories fell 20 mt to 10,880 mt.
Investors are awaiting the result of the US Fed’s policy meeting. LME tin should test support at USD 22,500/mt on Wednesday. In Shanghai physical tin market, mainstream traded prices are expected to remain stable between RMB 138,000-140,000/mt.
