SMM Nickel Market Daily Review (2014-3-21)

In Shanghai, SMM #1 nickel prices were between RMB 101,300-102,300/mt.

SHANGHAI, Mar. 24 (SMM) – In Shanghai, SMM #1 nickel prices were between RMB 101,300-102,300/mt. Jinchuan lowered nickel prices by RMB 2,500/mt to RMB 102,500/mt. Spot nickel prices fell to RMB 101,000-102,000/mt in the afternoon, with a large number of arbitrage traders entering the market, but end-users staying on the sidelines, leaving transactions muted. Many traders left the market in the afternoon.
