North American copper scrap prices built on gains during the week

MONTREAL (Scrap Monster) : The North American copper scrap prices recorded a weekly rise  on ScrapMonster Price Index.

Alternator prices have increased by $ 0.01per Lb over the week. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing increased by $0.01 per Lb . #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were up by $0.02 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright also inched higher by $ 0.02 per Lb.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery and those of #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery remained unchanged at $2.61 per Lb and $1.37 per Lb respectively. #3 Copper-Light copper prices were up by $0.01 per Lb. There was an uptick of $.01 in the prices of Copper Radiator prices too.

Copper Transformer Scrap, Cu Yokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends did not see any price variation over the period from 17th-24th July, 2013.

Cu/Al Radiators gained by $0.02 per Lb over the week to touch $1.61 per Lb.

Cu/Al Radiators/Fe prices too witnessed an increase of $0.02 per Lb.

Heater Cores prices moved up by $0.02 per Lb during the week.

 Romex Wire prices too climbed higher by $0.02 per Lb. Romex Wire prices on 17th July were $2.42 per Lb, whereas on 24th July it was $2.44 per Lb.

The prices of Harness Wire 35% Recovery, Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas lights remained stable.
