China Zn Products Imports and Exports Data Analysis May 2013

China Customs reported that China imported 55,000 mt of refined zinc during May, up from the 22,000 mt imported during the same month last year and up 23.7% MoM.

China Customs reported that China imported 55,000 mt of refined zinc during May, up from the 22,000 mt imported during the same month last year and up 23.7% MoM. Imports in May grew sharply since the high SHFE/LME zinc price ratio created more profitable import opportunities. Zinc concentrate imports in May were 188,000 mt, up 64.5% YoY and 17.3% MoM.
