DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Feb. 28 (SMM) – China’s refined lead exports were 528 mt in January, up 18.65% from December’s 445 mt and hitting the highest level since June 2011.
According to China Customs, China’s lead ingot exports began accelerating since December 2012, as supply for lead ingot overseas tightened due to limited secondary lead availability in warmer winter, and as the Shanghai/LME lead prices ratio remained low.
Some 85% of refined lead exports were shipped to Taiwan (China), with the remaining sent to Italy, Belgium, and North Korea.
