SMM Brief on SHFE Zinc Futures (2013-2-7)

The 1305 SHFE zinc contract price opened lower at RMB 15,935/mt on January 7, and fell to RMB 15,830/mt.

SHANGHAI, Feb. 7 (SMM) – The 1305 SHFE zinc contract price opened lower at RMB 15,935/mt on January 7, and fell to RMB 15,830/mt due to decline in LME lead prices to hover around RMB 15,860/mt before finally ending at RMB 15,840/mt, down RMB 165/mt. The 10-day moving average became resistance. Positions fell 13,448 lots to 151,662 lots.

SHFE 1601 zinc contract prices opened at RMB 13,540/mt Monday evening, then hovered around RMB 13,500/mt, and closed at RMB 13,415/mt, down RMB 105/mt.
