SHANGHAI, Feb. 1 (SMM) -- Downstream silicomanganese alloy producers almost completed stock replenishments, so transactions were sparsely reported. Based on SMM survey result, prices for silicomanganese alloy were almost flat with production costs, so producers’ willingness to halt production increased. However, given the high costs rising out from production halts, some alloy producers in south China still struggled to maintain production.
