In China’s manganese ore market, inquiries were brisk, and traders increased offers on the speculation that overseas suppliers will hike offers of manganese ore.
SHANGHAI, Jan. 8 (SMM) -- In China’s manganese ore market, inquiries were brisk, and traders increased offers on the speculation that overseas suppliers will hike offers of manganese ore. According to SMM sources, although certain amount of manganese ore arrived at port, transactions of manganese ore were still sparse.
At south ports, supply of manganese ore from Brazil, and South Africa was in shortage, and traders thus expect offers high. At north ports, supply of manganese ore from Brazil, Gabon and Australia was also tight, and offers also increased. Traded prices for a small volume of manganese ore from South Africa were up RMB 1/mtu from a week earlier.
