China’s #1 nickel prices slipped all the way after the national day holiday, with price slipping from RMB 131,550/mt on October 8th to RMB 125,200/mt on October 17th, down 4.83%.
NPI producers were squeezed by LME nickel price increase and nickel ore price hike, so they were not reluctant to move goods and kept offers firm. It was reported that mainstream offers of high-grade NPI were largely below RMB 1,230/mtu.
