Traded Prices of Manganese Ore Remain Flat

SHANGHAI, Oct.8 (SMM) – Although some downstream producers inquired manganese ore prices, actual transactions were limited. Prices of spot manganese ore were flat from pre-holiday level. According to SMM sources, supply of Australian manganese ore (Mn 48%, granule) was tight, with a small amounted traded at RMB 38/mtu. A few traders were reluctant to move Australian manganese ore at current prices due to high purchasing costs. It was reported that some mixed manganese carbonate ore (South Africa, Mn 38%) and manganese ore (South Africa, Mn 32%, Fe 20%) will arrive at port.
