LME zinc prices fluctuated between USD 1,920-1,930/mt and finally closed at USD 1,928.5/mt.

SHANGHAI, May 16 (SMM) – As the negotiation on Greece forming a new coalition government failed, the US dollar index surged to 81. As the growth of business activities in the manufacturing sector in New York in May was better than expected, and since the index of US National Association of Home Builders rose to a five-year high, LME zinc prices fluctuated between USD 1,920-1,930/mt and finally closed at USD 1,928.5/mt, up USD 10.8/mt. SHFE three-month zinc contract prices should move between RMB 14,900-15,050/mt today, with spot discounts between RMB 50-100/mt.
