SMM Morning Review - 2012/4/18 Zinc Market

LME zinc prices overnight fluctuated around the USD 2,000/mt mark.

SHANGHAI, Apr. 18 (SMM) – LME zinc prices overnight fluctuated around the USD 2,000/mt mark. Spain sold EUR 3.2 billion (USD 4.2 billion) of 12-month and 18-month government bonds, larger than its target, while German ZEW investors' confidence unexpectedly rose in April, boosting market sentiment. As a result, LME zinc prices closed at USD 2,000/mt, down USD 10/mt.
