LONDON, Feb 27, 2012 (Dow Jones) -- Total world aluminum inventories increased 104,000 metric tons in January to 2.530 million tons, after a jump in North American stocks, according to figures released Monday by the International Aluminum Institute.
Stocks were lower, though, compared with the first month of 2011, when inventories stood at 2.626 million tons, it said.
