China Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum in January 2011

SHANGHAI,Feb. 10 -- According to the preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 413,964 mt during January, up 13.6% YoY. China's imports of scrap copper were 230 kt during January, down 37.2% YoY.

China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were 92,106 mt in January, down 4.4% YoY. Alumina imports were 450 kt during January, up 30.4% YoY. China's imports of scrap aluminum were 140 kt during January, down 39.6% YoY. China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 59,792 mt in January, up 1% YoY.
