South China Aluminum: Few Transactions Reported in South China Markets

SHFE 1204 aluminum contract prices opened at RMB 16,360/mt on Thursday.

SHANGHAI, Jan. 19 (SMM) – SHFE 1204 aluminum contract prices opened at RMB 16,360/mt on Thursday. In the morning session, prices showed a weak track and moved below moving averages. Trading volumes of aluminum in Shanghai fell further, prices still found strong support at the 5-day moving average. Spot prices for aluminum ingots in Nanhai were between RMB 16,060-16,090/mt. Most traders stopped moving goods with only a few transactions done for aluminum ingots.
