SHANGHAI, Jan. 6 (SMM) – The most active SHFE aluminum contract prices hovered above RMB 15,900/mt with scant upward momentum on Friday. Goods at low prices were rarely seen in spot aluminum market in South China. Cargo holders were reluctant to move goods and raised quotations gradually. Meanwhile, downstream demand for replenishment also pushed the prices up to RMB 16,010-16,050/mt. Trading volumes decreased with aluminum prices moving up.
