Jordan Extends Bid to Explore for Copper, Gold, Ad Dustour Says

Dec 6, 2011 (Bloomberg) -Jordan’s Natural Resources Authority extended until Dec. 8 the deadline to submit bids for a tender to explore for copper and gold in the country’s southern Wadi Araba area, Ad Dustour reported, citing Bassam Tarawneh, the authority’s acting director general.

Companies from Russia, Mexico, Australia, the U.K. and China have shown interest in the tender which was originally due by Nov. 23, it said.
