East China Aluminum: Spot Drops with Futures, Deals Moderate

Traded prices of spot aluminum in Shanghai were between RMB 16,250-16,280/mt on Monday.

SHANGHAI, Dec. 5 (SMM) – Traded prices of spot aluminum in Shanghai were between RMB 16,250-16,280/mt on Monday, with premiums of RMB 20-50/mt over the SHFE current-month aluminum price. Traded prices of spot aluminum in Wuxi were between RMB 16,250-16,280/mt. Spot quotations slipped with the SHFE current-month aluminum price. Traders’ selling interest was high while the downstream buying interest was low due to sluggish consumption. Transactions were moderate as a result.
