Russia Jan-Sep Aluminum, Zinc Output Falls; Copper, Nickel Up

Russia's aluminum output in the first nine months of the year fell 1.8% compared with the same period last year, the federal statistics service said Wednesday.

MOSCOW, Oct 19, 2011 (Dow Jones) -- Russia's aluminum output in the first nine months of the year fell 1.8% compared with the same period last year, the federal statistics service said Wednesday.

The service doesn't provide output of non-ferrous metals in tonnages.

Zinc output in January-September fell 0.9% on the year, while copper output increased 0.3%.

Nickel output in the period rose 0.1% on the year, the service said.
