DashboardDatabaseProReportsEventsCar InsightSHANGHAI, Oct. 12 (SMM) –Based on the latest SMM survey of major domestic copper wire rod producers, the number of producers using scrap copper as raw materials continued to fall during September, and at a relatively low level for the year.
As copper prices fell rapidly, there was an inversion in the relationship between scrap and refined copper, severely affecting orders at low-oxygen copper rod producers using scrap copper as raw materials and forcing them to cut operating rates or even suspend production.
