Russia Jan-Aug Aluminum, Zinc, Nickel Output Down On Year, Copper Flat

Russia's aluminum output fell by 2.4% in January-August compared with the same months of 2010, the federal statistics service said Monday.

MOSCOW, Sep 19, 2011 (Dow Jones) - Russia's aluminum output fell by 2.4% in January-August compared with the same months of 2010, the federal statistics service said Monday.

The federal statistics service does not give output of non-ferrous metals in tonnages, only the percentage change.

In January to August zinc output fell by 1.3% compared with the first eight months of 2010.

Copper output remained the same in the period compared with January-August 2010.

Russia's nickel output in January-August fell by 0.6% compared with January-August 2010.
