SHANGHAI, Aug. 10 (SMM) -- According to the preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 306,626 mt during July, with YTD imports from January to July at 2,007,838 mt, down 22% YoY. China's imports of scrap copper were 430 kt during July, with YTD imports from January to July at 2.63 million mt, up 9.1% YoY.
China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were 70,413 mt in July, with YTD imports from January to July at 530,802 mt, down 9.6% YoY. Alumina imports were 60 kt during July, with YTD imports from January to July at 1080 kt, down 59% YoY. China's imports of scrap aluminum were 220 kt during July, with YTD imports from January to July at 1480 kt, down 10.3% YoY. China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 82,023 mt in July, with YTD exports from January to July at 430,694 mt, up 2.8% YoY.
