SMM Weekly Forecast on China's Selenium Market (Aug. 8-12, 2011)

It is expected that prices for selenium dioxide will be in the RMB 765-75/kg range and prices of selenium powder will be in the RMB 1,060-1,100/kg range in the following week.

SHANGHAI, Aug. 5 (SMM) -- Downstream EMM market improved but operating rates EMM producers continued to stay at low level, so demand for selenium dioxide was still hard to improve. However, offers of selenium powder were stable in overseas market, and supply of selenium powder was still tight in domestic market, so selenium dioxide prices will still be supported by high production costs.

It is expected that prices for selenium dioxide will be in the RMB 765-75/kg range and prices of selenium powder will be in the RMB 1,060-1,100/kg range in the following week.
