SHANGHAI, Jan. 15 (CBI China) -- Domestic refined cobalt prices continued to rise slightly, the trading price increased from RMB 320,000/mt on Monday to RMB 356,000-360,000/mt today.
Refined cobalt prices increases were mainly due to the limited supply in spot market. It is reported that Jinchuan had no spot cobalt to sell, domestic suppliers were reluctant to sell due to the uncertainty of cobalt supply in the future, leading to price rising.
CBI believes that the refined cobalt prices will rise to a limited extent due to no fundamental improvements in demand.
