SHANGHAI, Nov. 3 (CBI China) -- Nyrstar Yunnan Zinc Alloys Co., Ltd. announced to cut 2/3 output volume (former zinc ingot capacity 60,000mt/yr) from today. From CBI sources, this production cut is mainly due to current sluggish non-ferrous metals market. Combined with difficulty in purchasing raw materials for zinc ingot production, the management decided to cut production from November. It is learned that zinc ingot output at Nyrstar was normal in October, about 4,800mt. Another new facility for zinc alloy production (capacity 40,000mt/yr), originally scheduled for production on November 15th, is postponed to November 30th. CBI will provide more details of production then.
