Western Mining to Build Nonferrous Metal Base in Hubei Province

SHANGHAI Nov. 3 (CBI China)--On October 11th, Western Mining Company, Ltd. signed an agreement with the Laohekou Municipal Government to build a nonferrous metal production base in Laohekou, Hubei Province.  The project will consist of a 100kt p.a. crude lead smelter, a 100kt p.a. zinc smelter as well as supporting facilities of a 400kt p.a. sulfuric acid plant and a 250kt p.a. chemical fertilizer plant.
