CHALCO Qingdao Aluminum Alloy Regeneration Project to Come Online in Late 2007

SHANGHAI Aug. 10 (CBI China)--CHALCO's 200kt. p.a. aluminum alloy regeneration project located in Qingdao is expected to begin production in late 2007.

    Construction of the project's first phase began in 2005, and total investment of the project is will be RMB 1.2 billion. 

    China's current aluminum scrap recovery rate is far below the global average, and the government is now beginning to stress recycling scrap in order to save energy and protect its environment.
