2011 February Al Imports and Exports Data Analysis

SHANGHAI, Mar. 28 (SMM) --
Aluminum Semis:
According to China Customs, China’s exports of aluminum semis were 150 kt during February 2011. YTD exports from January to February were 370 kt, up 32.1% YoY, with exports of aluminum plate, sheet, strip, and foil growing the fastest. China’s imports of aluminum semis did not change significantly, with imports during February of 36 kt and YTD imports from January to February of 89 kt, less than 10% YoY. SMM predicts China’s imports and exports of aluminum semis in March will increase from February levels.
