






SHANGHAI, Mar. 23 (SMM)--The US dollar index overnight fell to a 15-month low of 75.2. But crude prices closed at USD 104/bbl as a result of Japanese and Libya events. In this context, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 17.9 to close at 12,018.63, and the Nasdaq Composite Index slid by 8.22 to close at 2,683.87, both weighing down LME zinc prices to close at USD 2,307/mt, down USD 12.5/mt, below the 5-day moving average. Trading volumes increased by 9,000 lots to 54,311 lots, and total positions decreased to 229,931 lots.
