China Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum in January 2011

SHANGHAI, Feb. 14 -- According to the preliminary data from the General Administration of Customs, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 364,240 mt during January, up 24.7% YoY. China's imports of scrap copper were 360 kt during January, up 8.1% YoY.

China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were 96,283 mt in January, down 1.4% YoY. Alumina imports were 340 kt during January, down 49.2% YoY. China's imports of scrap aluminum were 230 kt during January, down 9.7% YoY. China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 59,220 mt in January, up 30.5% YoY.
