SHANGHAI, Sep. 2 (SMM) -- Mainstream offers of selenium powder were between RMB 660-680/kg and mainstream offers of selenium dioxide were between RMB 485-495/kg.

It is reported that overseas offers for selenium powder were between USD 37.5-41/lbs on September 1st, so some domestic importer quoted offers to RMB 700/kg. However, according to SMM sources, downstream selenium dioxide producers still largely kept a wait-and-see attitude and purchased limited goods, resulting in sluggish trading sentiment. According to other resources from SMM, upward momentum for selenium dioxide prices was weak due to weak demand from EMM producers, but high costs allow selenium producers to keep offers firm. In this context, selenium dioxide prices will continue to be flat.
