SHANGHAI, July 26 (SMM) -- Domestic cobalt salt prices were temporarily stable due to lackluster transactions amid seasonal low-demand period. Mainstream traded prices of cobalt chloride were between RMB 70,000-72,000/mt and mainstream traded prices of cobalt sulfate were between RMB 57,000-60,000/mt.

Recent base metal price hike failed to boost prices of cobalt and cobalt salt products. Market demand is very weak, failing to lend upward momentum to support prices. However, any risk from prices to fall is small due to support from high production costs. SMM believes that cobalt salt prices will move around current price this week.
