LONDON, July 13 -- Zinc declined 1.4 percent on the London Metal Exchange, reversing a gain of 0.5 percent, while copper and aluminum trimmed their advance.

Zinc for three-month delivery decreased to $1,830 a metric ton. Copper and aluminum increased 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, paring gains of 0.9 percent and 0.4 percent.

China will "strictly" enforce housing policies such as lending rules to prevent speculative real estate investment, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development said in a statement on its website.
