SHANGHAI, July 6 (SMM) -- China's silicon metal export market was still quiet this week, and transactions were sluggish. According to latest SMM silicon metal FOB Huangpu port, offers were between USD 2,200-2,250/mt for #553 silicon metal, were between RMB 2,260-2,320/mt for #441 silicon metal, between USD 2,380-2,420/mt for #3303 silicon metal and between USD 2,480-2,520/mt for #2202 silicon metal.
Silicon metal spot prices had climbed significantly from mid or late June and gradually stabilized. Exporting volumes were limited, and offers were stable. Demand from overseas market was sluggish, and purchasers only made purchases on an as-needed basis. Price trend for domestic spot silicon metal prices was still not clear, and silicon metal FOB will remain stable.
