BEIJING, July 6 -- Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. extended the deadline for its planned private placement of so-called yuan denominated A-shares by one year, according to a statement on the website of Shanghai's stock exchange.

The deadline had been Aug. 23, according to the statement. The company said April 15 that it won approval from the China Securities Regulatory Commission to sell as many as 1 billion A- shares.
