Briefing on China's Cobalt Market

SHANGHAI, Jun. 30 (SMM) -- Transactions at domestic refined cobalt prices were sluggish, and prices were temporarily stable. Mainstream traded prices of cobalt from Jinchuan Group were at RMB 345,000/mt, mainstream traded prices of cobalt from Zambia were at RMB 340,000/mt and mainstream traded prices of nickel from Jiangsu Cobalt Nickel Metal Co were between RMB 335,00 and 340,000/mt.

It is reported that consumers only made purchases for low-priced products on an as-needed basis under the oversupply context. Transactions of Morocco cobalt and some domestic cobalt were better than cobalt from Jinchuan Group, with deals largely done between RMB 310,000 and 320,000/mt.
