SHANGHAI, Jun. 28 (SMM) -- Affected by EMM price increases, China's domestic selenium dioxide prices advanced slightly. Mainstream offers advanced from last weekend RMB 390-400/kg to current RMB 410-430/kg.

According to SMM sources, price hike is attributed to EMM price increases as well as the fact that supply of goods was dominated by certain cargo-holders. It is reported that current mainstream costs for selenium dioxide were above RMB 430/kg and producers' unwillingness to sell goods also help push up selenium prices.

SMM believes that prices of selenium dioxide will hover around RMB 430/kg in the short term, and any room for prices to rise will be limited given that operating rates at downstream companies havent improved much.
