SINGAPORE, May 14 -- South Korea's Public Procurement Service, a state agency that stockpiles strategic commodities, has issued tenders to buy 3,000 metric tons of aluminum and 300 tons of nickel.
The PPS is seeking 3,000 tons of non-western brand aluminum, for delivery to Incheon by July 31, on freight-and-insurance basis.
It is also seeking 200 tons of more than 99.8% purity nickel for melting, and 100 tons of more than 99.95% purity nickel for plating, for delivery to Incheon by June 30, also on freight-and-insurance basis.
Both tenders open for bidding Thursday at 0500 GMT.
