China's Imports and Exports of Copper and Aluminum in January 2010

SHANGHAI, Feb. 10 -- According to the preliminary data released by China Customs on February 10th, China's imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 292,096 mt during January, up 25.3% YoY, while imports of unwrought copper and copper semis were 369,368 mt during December 2009; imports of scrap copper were 340 kt during January, up 83% YoY.

China's imports of unwrought aluminum and aluminum semis were 97,633 mt during January, up 73.3% YoY; imports of alumina were 670 kt during January, up 103.9% YoY; imports of scrap aluminum were 250 kt during January, up 211.2% YoY; China's exports of unwrought aluminum were 45,494 mt during January, up 157.8% YoY.
